Rules & Regulations
FOR KATHAK:
1. Students will appear in White suit/White Kurta.
2. Ghungroo is not mandatory but can be purchased personally or by informing your Guru.
3. The student should reach 10 minutes prior to the class timings in order to prepare himself/herself for the class.
4. The monthly fee can be paid Online (NEFT/IMPS) only. The details of the bank account will be provided to the students during his/her online registration.
5. A late fee charges of 20/day will be levied if the students have not submitted the fee by 10th of every month. The same will be added to your next month’s fee.
6. The academy does not provide transportation facilities; therefore, every student has to manage his/her own transit.
7. Parents are not allowed to wait inside the classroom. KathakNatyam offers waiting areas in the premises which can be used as per convenience.
8. The student has to maintain a notebook in order to log their Kathak lesson.
9. Mobile phones are strictly prohibited in the classroom and should be on silence mode. It can only be used outside the classroom in case of an emergency.
10. The student is not allowed to use mobile phones in order to record, take pictures or make a video inside the classroom.
11. Eating food inside the classroom is not permitted as it interferes with the decorum of the class.
12. The student should notify their absence one day prior to their class with a reason for not attending.
13. If the student takes a leave, the academy will not be responsible for the loss, therefore, no extra class will be provided. However, if they academy is closed due to unavailability of the faculty, an extra class will be provided.
14. It is mandatory for every student to have 75% attendance to appear in the examination. Failing to do so would automatically debar the student to give their annual examination.
15. In order to complete the year and receive a certificate, the student has to successfully appear and pass the theory and practical dance examination.
16. The examination fee is not the part of the monthly fee and has to be paid separately abiding by the norms and regulations of the affiliated institute.
17. The academy will be closed in the month of June for summer vacations. A new session will start from the month of July. The student has to pay the fee for the month of May and June together i.e. by the 10th of May.
18. Students, Parents and guardians are requested to follow the activities of the academy via social media, the links of which are present on the official website. This will allow the students to stay updated with all the cultural events and information that the academy has to provide. The website can also be used to
send us any queries regarding the class events.
19. Registration Fee and Monthly Fee once paid will not be refunded by the institute.
20. KathakNatyam issues an ID card which is mandatory and has to be carried by each student. The fee is Rs. 100/- to be paid in cash.
FOR BHARATANATYAM:
1. Junior students will appear in White suit and Seniors will appear in a Practice Saree.
2. Chalangai is not mandatory but can be purchased personally or by informing your Guru.
